Cheesy Corn Dog Bites

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 hot dog (about 50g)
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal (30g)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (30g)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (30g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk (60ml)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Oil for frying

  • Measuring spoons

Instructions:

  • Cut the hot dog into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  • Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Dip each hot dog piece into the batter and carefully place it in the hot oil.
  • Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving.
